This time of year, the word “believe” is everywhere — on sweatshirts, ornaments, plaques — what have you. To me, this one word, standing alone, begs the question: “Believe what?”
Should we believe in Santa, flying reindeer, or as some say, the “magic” of Christmas? I think I have it. Let’s believe this:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
And let’s rejoice at this:
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).
Beats any magic I ever witnessed!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
